The famous German sportswear and accessories brand, Adidas, pays tribute to Montreal with a brand new pair of shoes, the ULTRABOOST.
Available on the official website since the end of June, these shoes bear the name of the city on their tongue and on the outside front.
However, while we can be proud to have customized shoes just like Tokyo, it seems that these running shoes sold at $250.00 have something that Quebecers are responding to: they are fire red with white details, the colours of the Canadian flag.
On the social networks of HHQc, who first shared the news in Quebec, it makes people react when we would have liked blue for the whole shoe, or at least part of it, even if the Montreal logo is red and white.
Even so, while some Montrealers are calling for blue, others have found the “true” colour of Montreal: orange.
Montrealers jokingly chose this “official” colour as a tribute to the city’s construction and the many cones that adorn it.
Construction is indeed a signature in the city and some international stars have already winked at it.
