Canada’s immigration department has confirmed that it has reached its target of 431,645 new permanent residents for 2022, without specifying the exact number.
According to the Canadian government website, between January and October, 387,560 newcomers settled in the country, including 57,450 in Quebec.
The last Canadian record for the number of newcomers to Canada was in 1917.
