For the sixth consecutive year, Quebec City has been awarded as the “best tourist destination in Canada” according to the American magazine Travel + Leisure. Indeed, the capital of Quebec has overtaken other Canadian cities such as Vancouver, Halifax, Montreal and Banff in this capacity.
According to the city’s tourism promotion agency Destination Québec Cité, those polled say that “the city is reminiscent of European capitals and appreciates its cafes, bistros and cobbled streets which give off an atmosphere of another era.” “The fortified part of the city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the food, culture and hospitality of the people were also highlighted and made Quebec City a favorite destination among T + L readers.”
The Auberge Saint-Antoine de Québec also stood out in this list, finishing third among the best hotels in Canada.
This ranking is the result of the appreciations of the readers of the publication specialized in tourism which gave a result of 86.71 for the city of Quebec, this is better than the rating of 2020.
