The Villégiature Awards, which since 2003 have rewarded the most beautiful hotels in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, are awarded by a jury made up of around twenty journalists from the international press covering five continents.

The Royal Mansour Marrakech was nominated for this award alongside the Signiel Seoul hotel (South Korea), Inter-Continental Lyon-Hôtel Dieu (France), Sofitel Rome Villa Borghèse (Italy) and the Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Cartagena (Colombia ).

It was during a ceremony in the lounges of the mansion of the Embassy of Azerbaijan, facing the Eiffel Tower, in the presence of several personalities from the world of diplomacy, the Arts, publishing and media, managers and owners of hotels and hotel groups and architects, that this Prize was awarded to Jean-Claude Messant, General Manager of the Royal Mansour Marrakech.

“I am very proud to have received in the name of the Royal Mansour but also in the name of the Kingdom of Morocco this Villégiature Prize which rewards the best hotel in the world for the year 2021. It is a work of the team”, a declared to MAP, the Director General of Royal Mansour Marrakech.

So this is a very nice reward that I share with all Moroccans and with all the people who have helped us make this dream come true,” he said.

The sumptuous hotel in the ocher city has been nominated for two other Villégiature Awards: the Prize for the best hotel suite, and the Prize for the best hotel swimming pool.

Another Moroccan luxury hotel, Le Casablanca hotel, was also nominated for two awards: that of the best hotel terrace and that of the best boutique hotel.
